I was made bankrupt on the 8th Jan. I received an early discharge on 17th July (not informed via letter or phone call but by looking up my case on the net). I am on an NT tax code since April and have been putting the tax money aside for when the receivers send me details of where to pay it to. However, despite being on this code and saving the extra money I have not heard a peep out of the receivers as to where to deposit the money (as in they haven't supplied me with a paying in book for an account of theirs).

As I am now discharged does this mean I no longer have to make these payments?

I am confused an feel I am in limbo as to what to do.

Can anyone shed some light?

Hey hatti, welcome to the forum. Sorry, I don't know the procedure, I would have thought you should call OR to clarify but I'm sure the experts will be along shortly to advise you. Good luck. X

You should only have been on an NT tax code until 5 April 2008, so any money which you think is payable to the Official Reciever ought really to be paid to HMRC. Your tax code should have changed with effect from 6 April 2008 and I suggest you contact the Official Receiver's office to see why this has not occured.
