Well I'm gonna have to agree re the spitting it turns my stomach in the street and I often mutter something under my breath and it scares me that one day I'm going to be challenged about what I am saying but it's vile as you say! I feel very strongly about this disgusting habit.

I hate watching sportsmen spit. I'm a huge baseball fan, but I have never known any sportsmen spit as much as them. I shudder if they are playing on astro turf as it must be terrible to walk on or clean it afterwards.

Yuk!!!!!!!!![V]

Spitting is disgusting! Is it any wonder there are so many illnesses around, and TB is making a comeback when people spit everywhere? I get fed up with having to watch where I'm walking in case I step in it.

I also hate chewing gum being spat out wherever the chewer feels like it, and dog owners that don't clear up after their dog.

When I'm watching sport there is actually one thing I hate more than spitting - when a player holds one side of his nose and blows the other side so it all ends up on the pitch!

Going off track a bit, but stil pretty gross - I was in Tesco this morning and I fancied some raspberries. I picked up a tray and was about to put it in my trolley when I noticed the woman next to me was opening the trays of raspberries, sticking her nose in them, sniffing them and putting them back! I went off the idea then - I know you wash them, but even so!

How disgusting!

A few years ago, we had a load of gypsies camping near to the local Sainsburys. We went in, and kept finding half eaten sliced ham all over the place. What they were doing was going to the deli counter, buying the stuff, then eating most of it before getting to the checkouts. They were even putting it near heating ducts, so you can imagine the smell!
