The account does not allow direct debits, but there is a form of "guaranteed standing order" which I understand can work on the same basis.

Hi sjbyron and sorry for the delay in responding.
I have now permission from Andy Davie to make the following comment:
“I can’t say much about ClearCash at the moment, expect that you won’t now have long to wait for it and that, when it comes, it will offer lots of features not usually associated with pre-paid cards. We have really developed it as a money-management tool for our IVA and DMP clients but hope it will have wider appeal than that: watch for the new ClearCash website to go live”.

Thank you David
Im looking forward to its relaunch, my Official Reciever has left me a budget for £12 for managed account services incase I have problems with coop as they were a creditor pre bankruptcy and the account was opened pre bankruptcy so the rights of offset still apply.
Hopefuly it will be launched soon
Thanks again

How much is the montly fee likely to be and can the card be used for one off situations whereby you just put the amount on you need for a one off purchase. If one of purchases are allowed would you still pay the on going monthly fee or just for the months you used the card.

The monthly fee is due to be about a tenner (or just under), I presume you can use it just for the odd purchase, but you would have to pay the monthly fee regardless.
If you just want it for that, use something like the Paypal card which has just a purchase fee of £4.95 and no monthly fee.

The card can be used as often as you need to and will offer a bill payment facility for all bills with any cash withdrawals only costing £0.50 in the UK from any ATM. The monthly cost at the moment will be £9.99 but we are looking into ways of seeing if this can be reduced. There will be a whole host of other features as well.
