My turn now. we had a problem with a radiator and called the housing association who sent out their plumbers, penny pinching they wouldnt replace the radiators (2 need it ) for me even thought they are thirty years old and dont actually cost that much. I have just gone upstairs in my bare feet and low and behold my carpet is sodden the radiator is chucking water out and the emergency call out chap is not answering their phone. Carpet will stink the electrical fuse box is in the room below and if the ceiling falls down its going to cost them considerably more than two radiators. Help.

I am just fed up that they have caused it and now they wont answer the phone. I have got through to the central place but she cant get the company responsible for emergency call out to answer the phone. Steve has tried turning off the radiator but still leaking. Not going to get upset but dont feel I can go to bed now in case of the electrics, got to look after mach 2 anyway he cant swim. lol.

I think this forum is soon to turn into a heating repair site. My heating system made us realise we were beyond skint!!
I hope you get sorted soon it's just rubbish!! We used to have a 50% share property and our housing association were pants to.
Good luck xx

Thanks. Ours are pretty good but do like to save money and sometimes it just ends up costing them more. I am more concerned about the electrics directly below, but poor girl has sent three messages and they are not coming back so I will just go to bed. We have done all we can and turned off the heating and the radiator, if they dont call back god knows what we will get up to. Only consolation is that I wont have to pay. Will continue the saga in the morning.
Night night all.

Night Ang - have your water wings at the ready and don't get tempted to have a look yourself! My dad looked at a leak for us the night before we went away once and we ended up with the main water supply that runs into the house spraying water all over the kitchen lol. we had to dig the stop cock up in the front garden at 11 o'clock at night and we were getting a taxi to the airport at 5am. I can laugh about it now!
Have a good sleep.

Well its 0630 and nobody has rung, the water is creeping into the bedroom now. I need shoes to paddle across the landing. The ceilings look ok thank heavens so will wait until 8 and then ring them myself. The carpet will have to come up and we will see who is going to sort that out, Mach 2 is sitting here with his water wings on, he wants to go out and fetch a couple of the local ducks for decoration, being his usual sensible self lol. I will look after him emma somebody has to do it. He has been at home all week at least the motorways have had a break. Hope you enjoyed your week off as well, great weather though not so good today. I will email mail you later.

When you do finally get to speak to someone tell them you are claiming for your carpets and ask what their procedure is....bet they sharp move to get it fixed then.....
My friend did that and the council did pay out, why should you risk paying more premiums for your house insurance because of their incompetance....
