Its always hard when you are starting out. It hasnt helped that you have had a house move and car repairs to pay for. You wouldnt have had time to save any contingency.

Try to plod on. You find ways to save on other things. We changed internet to sky which is only £5 a month, got cheaper insurances and such like and it saw us through. It just takes time to adjust and learn to budget better but im sure you will get there.
If not, have a word with your IP and see what they suggest.

As Mrs Skint says it is hard especially if you haven't had time to get a contingency fund together, we had a £800+ plumbers bill to pay last week, then son moved out, thought my IVA was doomed to failure, the key here is talk to your IP, things aren't as bad as I initially thought and I'm soldiering on with mine. I wish you all the best with yours and hope you get things sorted very soon. I'm up at this unearthly hour not through insomnia which for me is amazing, I'm doing a car boot! Car is packed with what I say is 'my rubbish' and hope to make a couple of quid for my three days away in Manchester next month.

Morning lesley.
I'm near Manchester. What will you do for a 3 day city break?
We rarely go in, but my son likes to catch the train in and wander around.A friend of mine has just booked me and her into a posh manchester hotel for a couple of weeks time. We're 'shopping' (not so easy on an IVA) then a concert at MEN (her choice and her cost...it's the Osmonds I have joked that she literally has to pay someone to see them with her!).The next day will be a nice pavement breakfast (ie McDonalds)and something to take us till lunch when we have to depart.
Enjoy your break.Cat

Hi Cat, we live in Lincolnshire but all my family live in Manchester, we stay in a travelodge, two nights for £30! we've got tickets to see The Police, would you believe they were bought in March 07, concert was originally for Oct 07 but cancelled as Sting had a throat infection, now rescheduled for June 17th 08, we'll go to see my Brother and Mum etc., go to Primark and I've got £50 now put away for our trip due to my car boot! Had a great time, made £65 in total, paid £6 for pitch and using the £9.00 for weekly bits! Will do another one hopefully before we go as would be lovely to get hubby a tour t-shirt and still have spare to get daughter's summer clothes from Primark. Hope you have a great time, hubby is a massive Sting fan (I'd rather see The Osmonds!). x
