Hi everyone,
If I was to receive a windfall would it have to be declared to my husbands IP? The IVA is in my hubby's name only, but my salary and household contributions are taken into account.
Hypothetical at the moment, but would like to know where we stand, just in case I win the lottery [;)]

As the IVA is only in your husbands name a windfall to you may be protected, its always good practice to discuss this with your IP

It would not be included in your husband's IVA. If it is your windfall, it is your windfall - although you could gift some of it to hubby to offer as a full and final settlement!

Well, I've bought my lottery ticket, so here's hoping!
Seriously though - my sister is giving me a small amount of money - I helped her in her early days so she's rewarding me now she's in a position to do so. Not enough for a F&F but I can use it for emergencies and maybe a holiday...
Great to know where I stand and may help others too. Thanks x
