All the best to you and I'm sure you'll be fine if you're going with Melanie. Each step brings a new relief until the final acceptance day.

Ah good luck Michael, you'll be in good hands. The phone calls probably won't start yet so don't worry. I know what you mean about budgeting, But the main thing is you will never be reliant on credit again. Good luck, keep posting. Viki X

I'm sure the phone calls and letters will start but keep calm and just repeat to each one, that you're applying for an IVA and your Insolvency Practitioner is **** and you are at the stage of ... I became quite professional in my telephone manner to creditors. If they became rude to me or threatening, I would tell them I was going to terminate their call. All letters bundle up once a week and send to your IP. I also wrote to my creditors every 4 weeks and sent copies to my IP for reference, the letter informed my creditors the various stages of my proposal being put together to when the meeting was actually being held etc.,

Sounds like a lot of other people on here Michael, we too made all our payments until just before our proposal, it felt weird not paying, almost guilty, but it's the done way to show you are not favouring any of your creditors.

The plus side is, we didn't recieve half as many phone calls as other people have had, some actually only got in touch to say they were aware we were in an IVA.

Well done for making the decision to tackle your debts before your life is ruined, good luck.

I am supporting you in your IVA quest but my loyalty lies with the mighty whites on sunday. A pity donny couldn't have held on to second place then a chance for two Yorkshire teams to go up!![:)]

Have a great day - donny playing some good footy at moment.
