I hope someone can give me some advise on this. I had all the paperwork though today from the Abbey. The problem is they have spelt my surname wrong. I have contacted them and all they said is that the adviser will contact me in the next 72 hours. The wait is killing me. Does anyone know if they will just change the name on the application or will they have to run a credit check again with the correct spelling of my surname ?

That's a bit of a pig. I don't know the answer to the question, but I would think that they don't use just your name to check your record. They have your date of birth, address etc and I would assume they would have used those as well.

I think I would phone them again tomorrow as it is a long weekend this weekend and you won't be able to find anything out until Tuesday.

Not sure if it is the same but when we applied to go to interest only my name was wrong and I just had to sign the new form that they sent out.

It was probably a typing error on the actual form.

Well they ran the credit check again with the correct spelling this time. I met the credit score with no problems but it has to go to the underwriters now. Its going to be a very long weekend. I knew it was going to well. They have messed up the opening of my account as well so will now have to wait till next week for that to be sorted as well.
Its a great life if you dont give in.
