Last year I applied to claim a refund of my bank charges from Lloyd's Bank.
The application was on hold due to the court proceeding as seen in the press and media.
I then got my IVA approved and I then moved at the same time, back last November and obviously got a new bank account from HBOS ( as I didn't have any debts with the m )
Because I moved I didn't inform any of the companies involved as the IVA was approved, luckily I only got grief from the Co-Op for about a month after ( mobile number didn't change, all had my contact number )
I kind forgot the bank charges claim.
But I'm wondering if I should pusue my original claim , by just informing
Lloyd's of my new address.
I haven't got nothing to lose.
I'm not a Lloyd's customer anymore.
What do other's think ?

Hey Brian. I presume that Lloyds were one of your creditors. If you are able to claim any charges back, I'm pretty sure that they will just have to be paid into the IVA so it really depends on what you think is best. I'm sure an expert will advise you soon. Viki X

It is more likely that Lloyds will just use the money - if the claim is successful - to reduce their own claim - so no benefit to you, but perhaps a little more money available to the other creditors.

Don't they have to hand it over to the IP so it can be equally distributed amongst all the other creditors?

Would make little difference to you and I

No - because if they are judged to have charged too much in the first place, then all they have to do is reduce their claim.

I was under the impression that Lloyds would deduct the money from the total that they are owed, rather than pay it into the IVA pot.
