We can't afford to buy here, but have contemplated taking advantage of the strong £ against $, so looking to invest in the US.

Does anyone know a good reputable company to look towards getting a relatively low mortgage? We completed our IVA about 2 months ago (although still waiting on the completion cert - sighhhh DFD!).

Thanks very muchly in advance!

Ooh, Jellybug, are you thinking of moving there? That would be fab. I can't answer your question but why don't you call Andrew Graveson and see if he has any contacts who deal with that. You can get his details from the "meet the experts" page. Good luck. Viki X

I know the pound is strong against the US$ but thats a long way to move. Make sure you think it through and dont rush into anything, and if you decide its the right thing for you and your family then best of luck to you.(hope its not somewhere too hot and sunny)

Thanks for your quick replies.=0)

We are thinking of buying a property out there to let initially, then possibly move over there in a couple of years (probably by the time we can get any kind of Visa anyway! lol)

Hi Jellybug ... it's really nice to see your post, as it shows that there is a future after an IVA! All good wishes of the future.
