Hey this place is Grrrrrreat, I'm single & skint, no family left, loads of aquaintences, and a few close friends. Oh and Im a single dad, my 14 yr old daughter lives with me.
Im so skint that Im applying for BR -- on Tuesday , DPM and IVA wont work for me.
Social life is tesco's !
Its hard doing all this money stuff especially when you dont have anyone to chat to, bounce ideas off, shout at the sky, pound your head on the keyboard etc.
This place is a life saver, I keep finding myself coming back to read the messages, see what other folk are feeling, Im beginning to think that Im turning into some sort of web voyeur. But more importantly its helping me to stay sane(ish) .
Thanks
Mish

Its a supportive place too, and its to help you through the worst times and celebrate with you in better times, we all know how it feels drowning in debt, it can be a lonley place and for us single parents its a life saver.

Please share your bankruptcy experience with us all. This is hugely of assistance to me as an insolvency practitioner in general practice to keep up to date with the workings of the Courts. Sometimes we only see one side of the coin, and is it most useful to know what goes on practically on the other side!
Good luch for Tuesday!

Of course Melanie.
I have arranged to have the day off, got an appointment to go in at 9:30am - which is a little strange 'cos the website says they open at 10am.
I'm a wee bit scared, I mean what if they wont make me BR .. I'm sure that they will but the worry pixies are at work here.

The earlier timing is for the bankruptcy clerk to go through your paperwork with you initially, in case anything needs to be amended before the hearing.
The Court will only not make you bankrupt if they think that you are trying to avoid paying debts that you could afford. From reading your earlier posts, it does not seem to me that there ought to be any problems.

This website keeps all of us sane. I fit the criteria of single and skint but no 14 year old to support which must be tough.
I read every single post on here and its the first place I log on to in the morning, when I get in grom work, and before I go to bed.
There's not too many people you can confide in but here you have anonymity and people in the same position who are less likely to judge.
Good luck for Tuersday
