OMG. I've just filled up my car with petrol and can't believe how much the price of petrol has gone up by. I now have to rejig my budget to allow for an extra £20 per month.

Just when I thought I had everything organised. Doh!!![:(!]

I was thinking the same when i filled up my car this morning, I just hope when it comes to my annual review that IP has some common sense and allows for the extra expense. It's already gone up 7p a litre since I started my IVA 5 months ago, and energy prices are supposedly going to rocket after christmas. If they stick to the CCCS "allowable expenditure" for my review I'll be living off fresh air I think.

I was even more shocked at the price of petrol on the motorway - this is really expensive now and I do an awful lot of mileage at present.

My annual review is due in a few weeks, so I am hoping that allowances are made as you rightly pointed out. Otherwise I may have to contemplate public transport !!

If you are spending the money, then your IP will allow an increase. After all we have to put petrol in our cars as well, so are perfectly aware of the costs!

I returned my IPOQ to the OR yesterday and I increased my monthly petrol to £120 from £100. I've just Googled petrol prices and the average price in March 2007 (when I petitioned for BR) was 89.5p per litre, and in this area it's now 103.9p per litre. I'm just hoping that the OR doesn't have a problem with the increase! It now costs me about £45 to fill the car from empty, and thanks to more traffic on the roads in the morning I've noticed I'm getting about 30-40 miles less from a tank - I wouldn't mind but it's only a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

The Sainsbury's where I live, which is supposed to be the cheapest in town has just put it's price up to 102.9p per litre!!!

That is ridiculous, and I don't even drive!!

I use public transport - and yes that too has risen in line with petrol prices. Mortgage no longer on fixed rate. Fuel prices have increased. What on earth will we all do to complete this IVAs?

It now costs me £45 to fill my car up from empty as opposed to about £30 when I bought it. Luckily my company has just relocated closer to where I live so hopefully that will cut down my costs a bit!

Every time I go to the petrol station now I know I'm effectively doubling the value of my car.... still, am starting to walk more now and even hopped on my bike in the rain last weekend to nip to the shop instead of firing up the motor..... certainly saving me some money for certain and probably helping with fitness and slowing down global warming......but it was nevertheless very cold and very wet...Why aren't the lorry drivers leading a campaign again to drive fuel costs down???

I need my car for work purposes and the increase is worrying. I visit clients in the community.I'm sure it would give them such a laugh to see thier rather ample nurse on a push bike though. Cat
