this time last year i really badly needed to talk to someone aboutr what the situation was eve on the phone would have done, I did not feel up to telling my family, i finally got through to the Samaritans, the CAB line was perpetually blocked.
So in the new year if anyone is interested, I am London based so anything I do will have to be here, in getting a support or even just chat group going I am open to ideas.

Yeah i would really like to help people as well through this difficult period in their life. Like Dominic I just couldn't speak to any family or friends about this...it was a really stressful time in my life..even now nobody knows but now my IVA is sorted i am absolutely fine and have always got people on here to talk to if i have any questions ...i live about 70 miles south west of London.
Myvesta is my debt man company.

how about a proper chatroom for us users. other than just the forums this way we can all chat amongst ourselves on here but in the chatrooms too ?? i have a chat program on my computer from when i ran my own community if interested.
chats in main room can be moderated and recorded.

I would imagine getting support groups in our areas a good idea maybe myvesta would be interested in supporting us in this and on our support nights they could come along to help others in our situation advice and help if needed.

great ideas mkdawn, unfortunately we are not sure if a chatroom will work. They have had a lot of bad press. The advantage to a forum format is that there is a lot more structure and conversations can take place over a period of time (a chat room might be empty all the time!).
Experts will be invited from across the industry to talk and answer questions. However we are keen to make sure that the owners of these social meetings are the IVA community and people in IVAs. Lets see what happens - we might do one and no one turns up!
We are hoping to do the first couple and then someone will volunteer to run them (hopefully someone on this forum.)

Sounds like a good idea admin but when setting them up some of us maybe would like to come to the meetings but wont be able to afford to travel so dont be too disappointed if nobody turns up.
