Hi all,
When you are getting the annoying calls from creditors, they say that they cannot contact the ip and that they can only speak to me. I have signed authorisation forms etc, so this shouldn't be a problem should it? Or is this another one of their tacticts????

i bet it is one of their tactics, contact your IP and ask if the company involved has attempted to contact them

I thought that Dominic, I've had two today that said the same thing.
Although one of them was Mercers who Barclaycard have passed the debt onto. They said that that would only apply to Barclaycard and not to them????

This type of comment normally includes a statement about data protection ? and they can only talk to the account holder or debtor.
It is nonsence be polite and refer them to your IP.

Good evening,
If any of your creditors call, you simply state that a copy of the Authorisation letter has been sent to them.
If they have any further issues, please refer them to your IP.
Good luck.

I tell them that I have authorized my IP to discuss all of my financial affairs with them. I am polite. However, if they become ultra rude I say,'Excuse me, I must tell you that I am about to record this conversation'. I was surprised when EDR and MCS hung up!

Your IP should have written to all of your creditors independently to advise that they are authorised to deal with your affairs. By continuing to contact you they are trying to bully you into making payments that you cannot afford. Be strong and look positively towards the future, and be polite but firm with all callers - you really do not have to put up with phone abuse.
