Good luck for tomorrow. Make sure you ask for whatever is said in writing,there and then. We forget when under stress to ask for things in writing but you can't trust the spoken word.

Have you heard of the Autism Research Unit at Sunderland University because Gluten and Casein allergies have been found some years ago. Casein is in Cows milk, Paul Shattock runs it.

There was an Enzyme treatment developed in USA for this, by Klaire Lab in California called Serinaid or Formula 2917 Multienzyme to lessen toxins to the brain so digestion not so damaged. I used to take Omegazyme multi enzymes but natural plant based, by Garden of Life if you ever care to be able to afford you can utilize access usa.

Also if someone is poor they would waiver the charge of the test, a simple urine one. Hope this is of some interest.

This goes hand in hand with hypothyroid probs that NHS hasn't a clue how to treat. Have a look at Thyroid UK and Thyroid Patient Advocacy out of interest when and if you feel like it.
The thyroid hormones go down at times of shock in fact the glandular system in general and bereavement is also a cause.

I was found to have these things wrong with me but that is another story!If only i could claim for the many wrong diagnoses i'd be rich.

I wouldn't make any decisions until your shock has reduced a bit- i know how i felt in November and i am glad that i've waited until i did a bit more research as i was in danger of wrong thinking.

Hi and thanks

I have been involved in genetic research at the maudesley hospital for 5 years, my family is of great interest to them, it only seems to affect boys and I am a carrier, i didnt know this though at the time. One of my boys is gluten and milk sensetive and I have been checked for thyroid problems, which I do not have. I have been quite ill with flu these past two weeks, but I can expect that with the shock and christmas, arranging the funeral etc. Its been a very difficult time for all of us. May see the GP if I dont pick up soon though.

I am going to think about things first, I have all sorts of emotions at the moment, yearning, lonley, angry, hopeless and hopeful. I also dream about mom and then wake up, I suppose thats normal though because she died within an hour after I saw her smiling and full of life. Its a process that I have to go through, My children are grieving too, but its difficult for them to understand.

Interesting..i too was told for over 20yrs i had ME..and my mum died when i was 20yrs, of MND but i know now had she got right diagnosis she wouldn't have died as she did,as we both at same age had viral pneumonia and it's like 30+yrs later i found that this damages thyroid. I know the pain bereavement causes, it means to reave and to search. I also came up negative in blood tests for many years and i was in pretty bad way by time it showed but it was not in NHS labs but NPTech in Suffolk they are very good with tests and results. Also urine tests show up what is going on at tissue level but blood tests don't.
Allergies also make the thyroid underactive and it affects brain function and behaviour.
Anyway enough as you have tons on your plate.
