hi all after now leaving it nearly 2 weeks and have still had nothing back from synergi, i feel that i should now make a complaint to their governing body and would like some advice on the best way to do this, should i inform them i am making a complaint?
i know they have had my letter as they have discussed it with my husband but i feel i have given them enough time now to reply.
any advice gratefully received.

I suggest that you send them another letter (recorded delivery this time) saying that unless you hear from them within the next 7 days you will be referring the matter to their licensing body. Make sure that it is addressed to the IP personally, market private and confidential, as my gut feeling is he/she knows nothing about the difficulties you are encountering.

Can you also find out the details of this persons licensing body - should be on the letterhead somewhere.

Hi Kerri

The best way to complain is first write to Synergi and advise them that you want to complain to their authorising body, make sure you outline clearly all the reasons for your complaint so that they can address each one. Send the letter to the IP who dealt with your case and the senior partner at the firm, or managing director.

You should be able to get details of the IP's authorising body from any correspondence you have from them as the IP is required to display this information. After writing to the IP and the head of Synergi give them one more week before you write to the authorising body, let them know the time period you are giving them in order to give them a chance to respond. Then, if you still receive no response, send a copy of the letter to their authorising body and ask them to assist.

Hope this helps

thank you both for your prompt replies, my last letter i sent registered as i thought that this might make them answer a bit quicker, this time i will put a time scale in the letter.
on the bottom of their correspondence it says they are licensed by the insolvency practitioners association

Kerri

The Insolvency Practitioners Association can be found at:

Tel: 020 7623 5108
Fax: 020 7623 5127

Sincerely hope you can resolve your issue with this firm without resorting to formal procedures. It does seem silly that no-one will speak to you.

scaredkez, I have never known anyone to do this. Please keep us informed as to what the process is, etc. From your posts you have been treated poorly, but as MelanieGiles stated your IP could have no knowledge of how the employees at Synergi have handled your IVA.

I wish you luck!
