we have a loan and credit card debt from NatWest but cannot afford payments and pay all other bills as well. My husband is retired and I work 22hrs a week

Do you have other debts as well as NatWest? Iv so could you list them out for us.
If it is only NatWest you owe, I suggest you approach them and advise them of your circumstances. They are a reasonable creditor, who I am sure will restructure your payments into affordable instalments.
Are you a homeowner with equity which could be released and paid to creditors?
