Hi
Does anyone know if any of the following companies are likely to refuse an I.V.A?

Natwest
Mckenzie Hall
Meritforce
Welcome Finance
Speedloan (chantry collections)
Capital one
J. D. Williams

Its just that my wife is making herself ill with the worry over it. She thinks that some or all of these will refuse. Partly because some of them have been going a long time and have already been part of a debt management plan. Also Mckenzie Hall and Meritforce have been quite nasty to her before on the phone.
She thinks that because its been going on a few years, they will refuse to wait another 5 years for their money.
However, like I said to her, ur only other option is bankruptcy and as we have no assets at all surely the creditors would realise that the I.V.A is in their best interest???

Thanks to anyone that can help a nagged husband!!!

Hey mashedhead, welcome to the forum. Good luck with your IVA, I'm sure your IP wouldn't propose it if he/she didn't think it was going to be accepted. I can't answer your question about these particular companies but someone who can, I'm sure, will be along shortly. Good luck, I'm sure you're not TOO nagged! X

Hi Mashedhead and welcome. It's only natural to panic a bit! As Vicky says your ip wouldn't put the proposal forward if there wasn't a good chance of approval. Just remember it's not the people calling you who vote, they have nothing to do with it.

Hi there - are you already in the process of proposing an IVA? If so, I would not worry as over 80% of all IVAs proposed are actually accepted.

Hi
Thanks for the replies. The proposal hasn't been drawn up yet we have just given all our financial information in and the creditor information. We got a reply back stating that having looked through everything, they think the best way forward is the I.V.A. It's all very stressfull and the worry of bankruptcy is what is eating away at the wife.
