Two years done i+e filled in yesterday and sent off big sigh of relief THEN! today i get a letter from electric board saying my monthly payment is going up from 75 per mth to 112 per month THEN! i was cooking a lasagne and the bl**dy cooker has went ,its pre iva and has been threatening to go for some time.My question for melanie is we missed two payments in year one which we agreed beforehand with our supervisor and agreed these could be added on the end of iva,if we were to ask them for a payment break in sept to get a cooker would this fail our iva as this would be the third missed payment?sorry for goin on a rant guys[:I][:)]

Hi
Speak with your IP
Maybe you could pay a part month, keeping your arrears below the three months and then buy a good second hand cooker

You MUST have a cooker so some arrangement will have to be made and agreed upon.

I would rather a cheaper new one than a second hand one, just for that guarentee!!

I do not feel thta your IP will fail the arrangement for the sake of one more missed payment, and this can be highlighted to creditors when they are next due to report. If you do have to miss a payment, try to pay it off as soon as you can - even if you just increase your payments by £10 per month this will help.
