okay guys...re my post on a previous thread...i said how much i had gained from posting on forum and that maybe i should change my log in name from "tired of life" to something that would reflect my more positive attitude....well...here is the deal

3x IFs

1)IF i pluck up enough courage to tell my adult children re our IVA.. this worried me in case we die and they find out after.!!adn my eldest sone is a trustee in our will so he would have to deal with all that.......we are all together on bank holiday monday...so have an opportunity to tell them then

2)IF we get up enough courage to attend the "frugal friends" meeting in slough in september

3) IF our 2nd review gets the thumbs up....we have spent the last 4 hours this afternoon doing the income and expenditure and getting all our paperwork ready...i am self employed so had to get all my accounts etc up to date and we have asked for increases to allowances due to petrol etc....we werent asking for an decrease in IVA as we have enough income this year to cover the increases....so hope that all goes through...the review is due mid september i think

so the deal is ...if these three IFs go well i will change my name from "tiredoflife"....hows that then???..i will keep you posted so look out ADMIN...i may be looking for you to change me.!!

Sounds a good plan ... the only thing I would say though is why make an issue of your IVA by having a 'family announcement' ... this just makes it all dramatic and important ... I would suggest just 'dropping' it into an appropriate discussion with each of the children individually on different occasions ... easy to do, perhaps talking about the current 'credit crunch'.[:)]

I agree with Ladyh and Viki.W....

Once you tell your children it will be a huge relief and maybe, they can help in some way. The meeting will also do you good too. There is comfort in meeting people in the same situation as ourselves. -hence the incredible value of this forum.....

[:D]hi there t.o.l, i wish you loads of luck with your if's ! im sure that they will all work out just fine.and good luck with choosing a new name ! i was a bit hasty in choosing my name as i was so nervous about actually registering myself i wasnt being very inventive ! and as soon as id registered it i thought of loads that i would've preferred but didnt have a clue how to change it so im just lumbered with it.anyway let us know how you get on ! take care.x[:D]
