I was sold an IVA in 2006 by Accuma. I was told this was my best option as I wanted to keep my home (I have 5 children) I spoke to various 'advisors' never meeting any of them face to face. I gave them an off the website valuation for my shared property (Husband and I responsible for mortgage) which I told them I had done so and was accepted. I also agreed to paying a longer term to cover any possible future equity as we have none and were unlikely to have any within the stated period of the IVA, again agreed by Accuma. Unfortunately, our circumstances changed dramatically at the end of last year. I informed Accuma immediately. I am now earning far less, am struggling with the rise in bills and have be told my home will be sold to pay-off my debts unless I can find the 'lump sum' to pay my creditors. I cannot afford to do so, I have no one to buy-out my share and my husband and I are in arrears with the mortgage! There is little or no equity as the mortgage company require an early settlement of £9K, plus all of the extra fees and arrears. I really feel like topping myself save the family and keep a roof over their heads. I really need some help!!!!!

Hi there and welcome to the forum

If there is no equity in the property, and you have lost confidence in the IVA, why not consider decalring yourselves bankrupt as a way of making a complete fresh start.

You are having very dark thoughts at the moment, which is very sad as I am sure that you have tried your best, but you really must see some way out of this for the benefit of your family. Why not see if you can arrange a face to face meeting with your IP for some personal advice?

Please keep posting as we are all here to support one another and although I'm still in the process of hopefully getting IVA approved in next few weeks, this Forum has been a godsend to me, I'm sure you will find this too.
