Hi,
This isn't a debt related issue, but tonight I thought ablout what I had in the fridge and whst I was going to eat - a common problem for us all.
Anyway to cut a long storey short I remembered an old recipie I used to love:
Leeks wrapped in ham with cheese sauce - I've just eaten and it was super!!
Par boil leeks (one leek feeds one big person)
Drain and wrap in ham (thin cut is good and cheap)>
Place in a casserole dish and cover with cheese sauce (packet or home made - whatever your preference)
Sprinkle with grated cheese - you can be sparing
Cook in the oven till golden brown.
I had mine with boiled potatoes and veg - it was lovely!!
Happy cooking everyone, hope you like the recipie,
Hugs,
Chardonnay

Maybe if you cut them small enough they won't know what they're eating??!! Just say it's vegetable!! My other half doesn't really like leeks and he enjoyed it!!
Good luck and I'm sure i'll be on again with some of my mum's good old Irish ecipies!!
Hugs,
Chardonnay

Hi Chard, that's sounds yummy, but that's not going to increase my 3st 2lb weight loss is it???? [:D][:D] Leeks are fine, its the sauce and grated cheese I would have to worry about, but glad you enjoyed it. Wish I could eat that sort of thing [:(] Kazzy x

My kids can sniff out a vegetable from 100yards!!! They won't touch them, even if they are in disguise.....they say I infect everything with onions and mushrooms......complete lies!!!
Peas and sweetcorn are the nearest things to veg they tolerate.....

Love leeks Chardonnay - I'll have to get hubby to do that!

I'm on late shift today, so it's a home made mince curry for me with a flatbread.

Toad in the hole I think for tea tonight...the weather's awful again so need some hearty, warming food inside. Followed by a home-made cherry cake.....I think the lap-top has water damage now with all my dribbling.....
