Is it possible to get a mortgage again whilst still in an IVA and can you recommend who to contact?

It is possible but you wont be able to get anywhere near as good a rate as from the high street and you will only be able to borrow about 75-80% of the value of the property. Brightoak is a company that many on here recommend but I have no personal experience of them.

Hey seller, welcome to the forum. It would be quite difficult but not impossible. Don't forget, you would need a /partner/family member/friend to fund the deposit and fees. You could try talking to Andrew Graveson from
www.brightoak.co.uk He comes highly recommended. X

I know Andrew very well and would not hesitate to recommend his services as a mortgage broker to anyone - but even he will tell you that the marketplace for mortgages for people in IVAs is very tough at the moment.

Thanks for your replies. My mortgage fixed rate doesn't run out until 2011 so I was just seeing what the options were. Thanks for your replies
