we my partner and myself paid off an iva by selling our flat it was paid off last july we now both have a job which in total brings in £1600 a mounth after tax we've been trying to get a loan for £2000 to do some home improvements in our rented flat but can't find a lender. our there any lenders out there that will lend money thanks for your time

Hi Alan, you are doing home improvements on a rented flat? You are going to borrow money to make someone else's flat better? Or am have I got it wrong? why not wait until you can get your own flat again and do that up? Then its money for you?

have you a credit union near you ? you will have to build up a small saving with them to be allowed to loan but the percent you pay back is only 1% a month on the loan if you go elsewere you will pay a lot in interest
