Congrats tinytori - great news!
I think you need to speak to your IP and get their advice. You will have to tell them anyway.

been in IVA for 1yr, I pay £240 a month towards my IVA, and 70% tax credits go towards IVA. I really think one of us will have to stop work as there is no way I can expect my mum to look after 3 kids, and there is no way at all I can pay childcare

That's great news - which you should be celebrating not worrying about!
I have lots of clients who have children whilst in IVAs, who manage very well with their finances. There may be a difficult couple of months, but by the time you work out your benefits, and determine whether you will be entitled to any more tax credits you might be pleasantly suprised.
Could one of you work during the day and the other evenings for a while to help out? And you could always approach your IP to see if they could reduce the payments at all.

Ebay is a great source of finding cheap good quality children's clothing and equipment - but did you not keep any of this from your other children as you say you already have three?
And could you let us know what is actually frightening you about bankruptcy? Your new child is far more important than paying off a few creditors.

How "charitable" of your employer to use such a punishing term in their contract of employment. I think you need to have a chat with your IP to take advice specifically, as he/she will have detailed knowledge of your case and may be able to suggest some form of affordable compromise for you.
