Thought I'd just leap into this forum and wish you good luck (hello everyone, by the way, as this is my first post, and didn't want to start a new thread).

My IVA was approved earlier this morning (thanks to Melanie Giles and her team), and so of course I'm feeling huge relief right now.

I had to chuckle a bit this morning as in today's post I received two charming letters from Mercers, threatening to come round and let the air out of my tyres (or something along those lines). Once I received my phone call to confirm the IVA was in place, I went straight down the Post Office to mail the letters back to Mercers, informing them of the outcome. They'll probably write again, but I don't care now it's all over with.

I've lurked in this forum since the end of last year, lacking the courage to post, and finding the courage to make a phone call to someone about my debt problems. Anyway I finally did this a couple of months back, and as I say, today my IVA was approved.

It's great to get a second chance, isn't it? We've all been there, or thereabouts, and this whole site is fantastic for support and information. This is my first post, but I've previously taken strength from posts from others over the last six months or so.

Anyway, sorry to hijack the thread, and good luck to you, Angelrainbow. I hope you have a positive outcome.
