Hi Guys, does anyone know who these telephone harrassers are? They have phoned me 5 times this week and I am sick to death of them. If anyone other than me answers the phone, they just hang up. Thought I'd name and shame them in case anyone else has had the pleasure........[V] Kazzy x

All I can find out is that they come from Cheshire. There's a lot about them on 'whocallsme', as they seem to be harrassing lots of people.

Can't find anything else out though.

Might be ambulance chasers though who've checked you out through the insolvency register.

Buy yourself a whistle and blow it down the phone next time they call!

Looking at one or two other sites, it seems they are making a complete nuisance of themselves, but very rarely actually talk to people!!!!! I don't think anyone knows what they are actually trying to sell, but it does say they are telemarketers.

Just what you need after your IVA is sorted - dreading the phone ringing again.

Hmmm..we are ex directory and I have had one 01606 number too. I am also not on the register yet as IVA was only approved yesterday.

Wonder where they are getting the number from if you're ex d.

The other thing to do with these sort of things is to do 'Choose to refuse' from BT. It doesn't cost a great deal and you should be able to bar their number.

Hi again, I am ex-d as well and I have my phone number on one of those barring lists, tls or tlc or something like that, but I never get any other marketing/sales type calls and haven't since I've been on that list. Next time they ring, I'm gonna play the telly to them for 20 minutes [:D] Sorry others are having problems but glad I'm not alone. K x

I'm on the telephone preference list thingy wotsit...if they are ringing me they are doing so illegally as far as I am concerned. Only had it once and didn't answer as it wasn't a number I knew.
