Is it ever possible for a 'basic' bank account to provide a cheque book?
I have a Readycash account with Clydesdale, but although it is an excellent account, they do not provide a cheque book.

Whilst I was in an IVA I had a basic bank account with Lloyds TSB who gave me a visa debit card plus a cheque book.

I have an account with Nationwide with just a cash card and no cheque book.
Bit of a pain, but I manage.

I have a NatWest Step account and I received a solo card and cheque book, so did hubby with his account. It is handy, as we'll probably have to send Melanie a cheque for 50% cut of any overtime. We didn't ask for the cheque book, we were told that it came with the account. Kazzy x

I haven't used a cheque book in three years ... don't miss it at all.
Having your tea delivered Ray! What a luxury! Do they do Earl Gray?
