i am very lucky were i am skippy we don't get flooded, lots of rain and very big puddles but nothing like some poor people across the country.

Glad you're ok Kerri. Dave's mum phoned us in a panic this afternoon to say that the Environment Agency had phoned her with a flood warning! We went and had a look at the river and it's probably got to rise another 7 or 8 feet minimum before it would burst the banks so fingers crossed it won't! I was a bit worried as Dave has had an offer accepted on a maisonette just down the road from his mum! If this carries on I'll ask for sandbags as a moving pressie!

The floods are horrendous, I am so glad we live at the top of a big hill! (selfish I know, but the last thing I need to have to deal with at the moment) I just can't start to imagine the devastation of having your house & furniture ruined like that.

we're all ok here, although on friday i did have to walk through what seemed like a lake to get to my car on the work car park.i had to empty the water out of my shoes, friend thought it was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!. can't begin to imagine what it would be like to be flooded and everything ruined. and the poor kids have just broken up (like me)

And a key thing for all persons subject to current and potential IVA proceedings to ensure that you have adequate household and contents insurance in place. I reckon over 50% of the clients who come to me for advice have cancelled their household insurance policies, on grounds of affordability, but have gym memberships or Sky TV.

The incredible pictures I have seen on this evening's news, are a timely reminder that this relatively cheap expenditure is vitally important.
