If you pay someone off with a cheque can they trace your address??? Or your details??

I would imagine that it is possible to trace as your bank account details are on the cheque, but I'm not sure.

Hi Lily
I would think the average person wouldnt be able to but finacial companies etc may be able to. Like skippy I'm making a guess, would a bankers draft be better or if not a huge amount paying the bit extra for a postal order may be a safer way.

depends on whose cheque you use lily, to be safe use a bankers draught.

Your cheque will have you bank account provider and ac no on it, but this shouldn't be enough for the average Joe to find your address from.
