My parents are completely anti credit. I was always told how bad credit cards are when I was growing up and warned about the dangers of debt. However, I thought I would be mature enough to handle my first credit card sensibly aged 18, and now 7 years later I am tens of thousands of pounds in debt. If only I had listened to them...

Poppy there are loads of things we look back at wish we had done differently, how many say they wish they had listened and worked harder at school its just another if only. I tell my kids not to have credit, not to smoke and i have done and still do smoke. We all learn a lot by our mistakes, we all make different ones, but what a boring bunch we would be if we all did everything right. We are now more able to give advice and know why and be more understanding and not judge people for their situations because we know how easy it is to get there, and how it feels. How anti credit are we now?
We just learnt the hard way.

Great comments from Ang, we all make mistakes and I think we all do things our parents have warned us against..its just apart of life.

If we did everything we were suppose to do we would never take risks or experience anything for ourselves.
