If I was sucessful in getting an IVA accepted, and then in a couple of years wanted to move house, would i still be able to get a mortgage

Yes. Because a mortgage is a form of secured loan it is underwritten very differently from an unsecured loan. If you are in an IVA or are or have been made bankrupt you will always be likely to find a mortgage provider even if this would usually mean going to a specialist broker and paying slightly higher (on average 0.5 % more on interest.

If you want to take out a mortgage during an IVA you will have to get permission from your IP and are only likely to be allowed to do so if it isn't to the detriment of your creditors i.e. it doesn't affect your ability to pay them the agreed amount.
