can you iva as a joint couple or is it assessed per person?

Hi

There is no such thing as a joint IVA. However, it is common to present 2 IVAs together - typically for husband and wife - based around a single monthly disposable income payment. In order for this approach to work, the creditors will have to accept both IVAs.

You will definitly need to discuss this in detail with an expert. If one party's debts are very small, it might be better for them to remain outside the IVA and continue to make their monthly payments or go into a DMP.
