I rent a house and to save money I'm looking to rent a cheaper property. Will having an IVAa stop me from starting a new rental agreement as they carry out a credit check inthe initial process

Hi hotlips,
In my experience people don’t seem to have too much of a problem to rent somewhere else. You may need to just let the agency know before hand that you are in an IVA (I know one of our clients recently done this and had no problems).
I hope this helps
Kind Regards
Nicola
Ps please don’t forget to let your IP know once you have moved & good luck!

Most commercial landlords do carry out credit checks on prospective tenants. This is less evident in the private rental market.
