The record of the IVA remains on your credit file for 6 years from the start of your IVA.

what happens to your credit report if you failed an iva does it still remain on your credit file?

I would imagine it would show a incomplete IVA...the defaults will still stay for 6 years anyway...and you will have defaulted by the time your IVA has been accepted...in most cases.

I believe that it would show on your credit file as incomplete, however im not sure whether it will remain on your report for the same amount of time.

It shows on you credit file as 'failed' and will stay on your report for six years - again from the start of the IVA.
