Can anyone tell me if a sum of money withdrawn from credit card last october for £1100 would be questioned as to what it had been used for if i were to go bankrupt? As i bought a Van for my son with it secondhand of course.

Unlikely - but you can never tell what will be looked at by an eventual Trustee in Bankruptcy.

i have a question on bankruptcy how far back do they ask you to go with all your statements for banks and credit cards as i only have the last 7 months, most of the time i shredded them when i had piad them and it had shown paid on the next one to come in, or will they ask the crediors for copies as this would be easier.

Hi again
There is no real answer to that. If you have not kept the documents then they cannot be produced, but a Trustee will get copies from the creditors in any case. I suggest you don't throw any more out in the meantime!

Hi Kerri,
I'm sure i read somewhere that they go back 2 yrs with statements you could always go see about getting some maybe thru paying £10 for each account to say you are looking at bank charges and penalties for last 6 yrs, or something.a thought anyway[:)]
