Putting IVA into google gives me thousands of results, I don't know where to start in looking for a reputable company. Is there any sort of accreditation I should be looking for? anyone suggest a good company, How do I start.

Basically - help

Hi Kaz
Hello, im new too.

I am in an IVA with a company called Synergi and I am having loads of problems so dont go to them.

There are lots of us in the same situation and Melanie and Andy and lots of other people will give you advice and make you feel you are not alone.

Keep your chin up and try and keep positive.

You are now part of the family.

Hi Kaz

Have a look at IVA.com

They've got hundreds of reviews on there - that's where we got our IP from

We used Debt Free Direct - nothing but plain helpfulness and honesty! Certainly would recommend them!

Hi Kaz,

As couple31 mentioned (thanks couple!) you may find www.IVA.com useful. We maintain a list of IVA firms and their IPs and publish client feedback on their services. We recommend checking several firms before deciding which to work with.

Good luck with your search and please let us know how you get on.

Kind regards,
Terry Balfour

kaz, i'm new too and wish i had found this site before commencing my iva, i found a company who were great at the set up stage but not so good with ongoing customer service, so i would definately recommend checking out feedback from iva.com!

Welcome to the Forum Kaz,

Mike makes a good point, on this forum we always advise people to speak with at least 2 or 3 debt solution companies. This is a good way to see if you are being advised correctly and can cancel out any ill advice.

Hi Kaz

Welcome and I suggest that you do talk to a few companies and the most important test is to make sure you feel comfortable with the person who is going to be around you for the next 5 years!

Basically it is a form of marriage I am afraid!
