Hiya, if we sell our car-please see previous question by me, can we use some of the surplus cash for the bankruptcy fees? I was going to have to wait until the new year to file while my husband is filing within the next 2 weeks, only because we do not have the money for the both of us to do it together. Also, would it be easier to file together as some of the debts are in joint names? Thanks
Learning as I go along!!!

Hi
I would be inclined to file at the same time, and why not purchase a car for £500 less than you were planning to do and use this for your bankruptcy,I'm sure that the OR would understand.
Wait for Melanies advice on this to be sure

I can's see a problem with this in all honesty - but do make sure that this is all you spend and the rest of the money is not spent or you will be in trouble. The sooner the better really if you have decided to go bankrupt I suppose, and as you say you do already have the money to pay for one application.
