I have an account with LLoyds TSB, there is an overdraftof 750.00 that is included in my IVA.
I have had a statement from them today that shows that they have put on 174.00 of extra charges. These are because they took 10.00 off me for my account charge, which took me over my overdraft limit.I had written to cancel this charge!!
My O/D is now about 924.00, I am so annoyed.
I have written to them to ask them to cancel my account alltogether, I thought this would have happened automatically after the IVA aproval.
I have also sent the statement and a covering letter to my IP.
any advice?

Let your IP sort this out - that is what they are being paid for and you do not need to worry about these charges. Charges levied after the IVA has been accepted are not valid.

Thanks Melanie, always so helpful. How did the frugal friends meeting go? it was tonight wasn't it?
I hope to put faces to the names on here by popping along to a meeting sometime.

Marsha

I have been really poorly over the last couple of days, so didn't make the meeting unfortunately. I will be posting an apology to any forum members who were hoping to get some advice - and Andy has my e-mail address for anyone who has unanswered queries.

Hi Marsha

Basically they can't do this and write to your IP sending the copy of the statement!

Cheeky and what a waste of time!
