My girlfriend is thinking of declaring herself bankrupt due to debts from a previous marriage, we are thinking of moving into together as she is a council tenant holder, would her bankrupcy affect me from moving in altho we are not man and wife, as she does not want me caught up in her debts or debts falling to me if i move in.

Hi
You will not incur any of her debts and it will not prevent you from moving in

Welcome to the Forum!
If all the debts are in your girlfriends name then her bankruptcy will not effect you.
