It has been hard enough today, as we have packed our life up and half moved our stuff into our new rented house, in preparation for giving our keys back. Second half tomorrow.

Anyway, to make things worse our business bank manager thought he'd pay us a visit. I'd sent him a letter when I received a demand for the money owed, and I wrote back saying we were contacting an IP. I was literally going to post another letter over the weekend to say we were filing for bankruptcy.

We owe a lot on our business loan which was secured on our business lease. As we had to surrender the lease, the bank has no other security so are out of pocket big time. Ok I understand they are hacked off (like we're doing all this for fun), but to then have insinuations made that they are considering looking into our account as it has been suggested in a "conversation" with someone, that our part of the purchase funds was a loan from the vendor instead of who we told the bank lent lent it us: my father - and for the record he did!

I am just horrified that anyone has been talking about us to the bank, lying to them and that they may try and investigate us for fraud!! I told him we were going bankrupt, so he said at least he knows not to bother spending any more time chasing us for the money and left, but still, this is just the worst year, and we haven't even got anywhere near the Bankruptcy court yet!!!

I just feel so sick to my stomach [V][:(]

Hello.I don't know what to say but it sounds horrible. I just want you to at least feel listened to. I'm sure someone sensible will come along and say something quite soon. Cat

Hi Cat, thanks for the message.

Not much anyone can say, just needed to write my thoughts down and hope for the best! At the end of the day there are ways and means of proving that we are innocent in this, it's just the thought of having to fight more and more, when all we've been doing this year is fighting debt!!

What a rotten day wen and at a time when you just need to be left alone. I know tomorrow wont be so good either but I hope the days to follow in the near future will be more settled and I am sure you will feel much happier with life in the end. Stay strong and fight and you will get through.
Wish I could make you feel better but I,m always around if you need a moan or a natter.

Ang x

Thanks for your words Ang!

The ironic thing is if we'd sorted the move a day or two earlier we wouldn't have had the pleasure of his visit today!

Hi

The banks take risk in lending if they lose money its their problem. WE have a worldwide credit crunch - 190 billion could be lost! So it is not an individual issue -a global issue.

If you Bank is irksome about your debt wait till the Oft test case when the Banks could in theory lose millions from the mountain of cliams

I'm certainly not losing any sleep over the bank losing the money, it's the throw away "oh we might come after you for fraud" insinuation that has just floored us :(
