...car boot this am.Up at 4.30.Spend sat sweating buckets in preparation.Made the massive sum of !!!!!£30 whole pound[:(] But at least the kids rooms are empty and clean[:)
However, it did make me realise just how much money I used to spend.Literally hundreds of pounds worth of goods were on my stall.Most of it went to charity section of our local tip.It actually felt very cleansing.Almost cathartic[:I]
Kids were not at all sentimental.It was a waste of money.The stuff they saved was not worth a penny.They saved it because they had memories attatched to it not because of the cost...just goes to show! Cat

I'm like that with Ebay cat!

I must have hundreds of pounds worth of clothes that no longer fit me just waiting to go on, and I will get back a fraction of what I paid for them.

At least it means I have had a good clear out, and now I can no longer afford to go on a shopping spree, my wardrobe should remain half empty for a good long time![:)]

Not just me then! I did exactly the same thing last week, and made 40 pounds! Like you though, we can actually walk through the garage now!

I did wonder if it is a sign of the times though. Not so long ago you could make a nice amount from a car boot, but maybe like everything else, people are being more careful, even though items are as cheap as chips to start with!

I actally want to get rid of lots of things.Stange isn't it? I have 3 large rails of clothes and at least 50 pr of shoes/boots.I'm not fashionable so my clothes do last, but who needs this amount.I 'm a larger lady[:I] and I even went to Evans sale recenltyand didn't buy a thing.I didn't need anything but that wouldn't have stopped me before.I have treated myself to some fantastic puppy walking croc wellies recently so that is realy enough. Wellies were £35 but will last years (as long as the little darling doesn't chew them)I am amazed at my will power.Wish I could be the same when it comes to food then I could do Primarky not Evans[:)]

I did a car boot today, my 2nd of the year, first one I made £50 and ended up replacing the shower with the money and today made £93.15 to be precise! Car MOT next week so hoping that will cover it! As no other contingency! eek!

i never go boot sales.. just don't like them. i just think why do i want other peoples junk.. got enough of my own!!

my friends love them. but I can't do charity shops either.. and I'm not a snob but always think they smell and make me itchy!! my mam drags me round for jigsaws...

we did a carboot today. we made £50 all to be put towards car tax.

[:D]Ang. Ebay can be bad sometimes. Not so long ago I received a blouse with two big sweat stains under the arms and what I can only hope was cat hair all over it. When I emailed them, they said the picture clearly showed the stains.....they were right, it did, but I just figured it was the camera or something! How can someone post that out!?

thats disgusting. I would be too ashamed to send something like that out.

We've spent the weekend sorting out the garage in preparation of a carboots over the next few weeks. Got lots of stuff that should go and some which will probs be took straight to the local tip but I'm going to try.....Nice to see the garage floor now and as some of you have already said, it's good to have a sort out and make some room. [:)]

well this week our strimmer broke, so while at the car boot we had a look round and got one for £2. It works great.

i waited weeks for a Paramore t shirt for bairn.. and when it eventually came was out of shape with sweat marks.. ugh minging!! Viki some people got no shame!![:I]

we use ebay, but tend to buy out of the ebay shops rather than the private sellers.

I know, it's disgusting, crikey, I wash, iron and wrap it in pink tissue paper when I post things out!

i did that for the stuff we took to the car boot today. We hung the clotes on rails n made em look nice. Yet, when we had a walk around, some had piled clothes in the middle of a tarpaulin, and as we walked past we could smell a musty smell.
Don't they realise that people would buy much more if they presented em a bit better.
