Creditors Meeting set for 19/04.

My letter does state my attendance is requested but i assume this isn't compulsory.

Dividend offered is 29p

Will be about 10 weeks from first approach to meeting so not too bad really.

Fingers crossed and all that.

Hi Lapdog

No need for you to attend the creditors meeting, but make sure that you are available on the telephone for your IP to be able to discuss any creditors modifications with you.

Good luck!

Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner for over 20 years.

Correct, your physical attendance is not mandatory but as Melanie rightly says you will need to make yourself available by telephone if needed.

Cheers guys.

Meeting is at 14:00 which is handy as will only have to a half day off work to be available via telephone.

IP is with ACCUMA via Thomas Charles so a big thanks to them for the work done so far.

A belated update but thoight i'd share the fact that IVA was approved last Thursday, so here starts the rest of my life.

Big thanks to Thomas Charles and Accuma who I have been dealing with and also to all on this forum which has been an invaluable source of comfort and advice.

The whole process from first to last was about 9 weeks so not too bad at all really.

My advice to anyone still living with debt is to talk to the experts and those who have been through this situation on this site. It won't be plain sailing but i promise that you will feel a whole lot better for having taken control of your situation.

Congratulations Lapdog.. Im so pleased for you. Im sure this is just the begining of a much improved life for yourself.

Im being put through the mill with my IVA - creditors meeting yesterday resulted in needing to make a improved offer which I did and still no news so may adjourn or even fail now.

I wish I could say my situation was in control, but as yet there is still no light at the end of the tunnel.
