I'm sorry it's been a little while since I posted anything here, previously it had all been about creditors phone calls and the things that really weigh on your mind in the early stages. Not this time!

I'm really happy as, at my creditors meeting yesterday (24th Sept), my IVA has been accepted.

I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to everyone on here who has offered amazing help and peace of mind to me, it's an amazing source of guidance this forum and you're all incredibly selfless people the way you just offer an open door to anyone.

It goes without saying that if anyone comes along to ask for advice on the things that troubled me, I'll be only too happy to help now ... bring it on!

Every cloud does have a silver lining (as I thought I'd change my profile pic/avtar to show).

Happy to be with you for the start of the new journey.

Best wishes,
Baz.

Hi Baz and what fabulous news from yesterday, I hope your IVA goes smoothly for you and do stick around as you can certainly help support other posters on their journey. I remember the feeling of relief and happiness when mine was first accepted and 21 months in I don't regret it for one minute. I'm working to the 30 month mark the middle milestone. x

We could have one of those trains like Lloyds TSB have!

For the journey![:D][:D][:D]

Thank you for all the welcoming comments!

I like the Lloyds TSB idea, we'd be packed full of commuters before we knew it!

It's head down and knuckle in for me now, working to that 60 month mark - I know it'll be there quicker than I imagine. I'm not expecting it to be easy, but at least it'll help me to learn the value of money too.

It's great, Lesley, to hear you're on the way to the 30 month mark.

I want this to work so much and it's down to me to make that happen.

Looking forward to talking to you all along the way.

Baz :)

5years going forward does seem a long way away....but think back to the 5 years gone by. How quick have they sped by??? Personally, I can't believe how quick time goes.

I think our own train would be very full but lots of fun [:D]

I am sure that everything will work out for you, any support you need or advice, we're all here, and you should be able to get an answer to anything. We have a bit of a laugh as well!

I'm with Julie, I have a little game I play during Monday - Friday I try not to open my purse and spend any money whatsoever, blown today already though as need around 5 things that can't wait until the weekend so will try for Tue-Fri this week.

I question everything I buy now and my spending habits have changed so much, pre-IVA I would be planning christmas and what I was going to buy everyone value wise, now it's a list of what is useful to them, much better pity I didn't see it this way pre-IVA and then I wouldn't be in an IVA.

A positive to being in an IVA is I've met all you lovely people that otherwise I would never have met.
