I have been browsing this site for the last few weeks and soon realised that there were a lot of people in the same boat as me; this site has provided me with the confidence to try for another IVA (first iva was rejected in 2008).

My main creditor is NRAM and they have already rejected an IVA in 2008 and really want it to be approved on the 07/03/12.

My IP is fairly confident it will go through this time round but can't help being anxious due to it being rejected before.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi and welcome.

Fingers crossed that this one will be accepted - did NRAM say why they rejected last time?

Which IP company are you using?

Oh bless you I can understand you being anxious and welcome to the site by the way.

As I understand it, NRAM tend to be more accepting of IVA's these days than they used to be, I seem to recall having a conversation with my IP about them and that they always flatly refused IVA's in the past, although they are not a creditor of mine thankfully.

Has your IP made you aware though that they have a tendency to ask for 6 years rather than 5? and sometimes they try to push up the IVA payment a little from what I have seen on here.

Good luck anyway and let us know how it goes

Thank you.

Their reasoning was purely selfish that they wanted as much from me as possible or at least that is what freeman jones told me.

My new IP company are mccambridge duffy.

I think NRAM are a lot better these days and you have picked an excellent company. We have Michael Peoples and Roisin Duffy from the company who post on here so they're always around if you have any questions.

Thanks Iem.

Yes my ip has suggested that they will probably ask for an increase to 6 or even 7 years, which I would still be happy with as it would still write off approximately half of my debt.

Will let you know how I get on.
