Hi All just wanted to let you all know that my IVA has been approved. Have not had a copy of the Chairmans reports as yet. My offer was 37p/£ and an additional 6 months payments in leiu of my property equity..

The modifications were 38p/£ which was taken out of my IP's fees and they want me to get a valuation on my property in 4 years and re-mortgage the equity up to the value of 85%. I understand that I have no overtime clause.

I owed £84K in unsecured debts (totally ashamed!!)I was managing to repay all my debts up until I needed a operation on my spine which I had to pay for myself (£8000) which eventually pushed me over the edge. I ended up on anti-depressents which was the final straw.

Anyway a new start roll on 5 years.

Many thanks for all the advice on this site....

For me entering an IVA was the best thing i could have done. I could have gone bankrupt but i wanted to pay my creditors back paying something was better than not paying anything back. Its been a tough old 3 half years but it has taught me something how to budget!!! and not to get in that state as i did before if you havent got then you cant have it my motto now is save save save for what ever you want cos th feeling is great when you buy something in cash cos its yours

I can just see in the far distance the light at the end of the tunnel hurray!!!!

Hmmm, I'll have you know I was completely sober! I was downloading music at the time and got a bit impatient - obviously clicked once to often!
