Hi All.

After reading this site since I realised my debt problems in December 06, my creditors meeting is only 14 hours away!

I have debts of around 46k with an offer of 40p return in the £1. I've been working with Payplan, and although slow and having to push them, they have been fantastic in prepairing everything for me.

I've decided not to give my real identity as I work in the financial industry, (credit cards) - though not in collections deptartment. So I know as much as everyone else on here how easy it is to spend and often seen the difficulties people get into.

I've got my fingers crossed for tomorrow, lets hope they all agree!!

Jay

Good luck Jay. Your IP would not be making the proposal if they did not think it had a good chance. I am sure it will be fine

Well, its been approved, just got off the phone with the chairman. Here's to a debt free life in 5 years!!

Anyway - I agreed 60*£279 and £9604 from the remortage in year 4. They have put an amendment in to say they would like new valuations in year 4 and remortage upto 85%. If this cannot be done (due to interest rates/fixed rates which I have), then a further 12 payments of £279. I'd offered £9604, but they seem happy to accept £3348 instead, anyway i'm not worried until year 4, time to get life back to a bit of normality. Anyone know where the nearest Aldi is? haha.

Thanks for all your fingers crossed it helped!. I'll be sticking around to read what people are posting etc, as its always nice to talk about things, especially now I know my IVA has been approved.

Here you go. Everyone approved, not sure as yet which one of them had adjustments to make, but will update when i get the full report.

Barclaycard £9k
Cahoot 4.4k
CitiCard 8k
Egg Card 12k
Egg Loan 2.3k
Marbles HFC 9k

The chairman mentioned something about their fees being capped, which they didn't go into as well.

It still hasn't hit home yet how good it feels to know everything has gone through. I've heard horror stories of people being pestered at work/home etc by creditors, but I have to admit mine were fantastic with me, none of them kept calling me or anything. Egg did say they were going to get a court order on my property to make the loan secure, but that was 6 weeks ago and i've not heard from them since, so they are too late now!!!
