hi when you ask your ip for a settlement figure can you haggle a bit or is his/her word gospel?I have come up with a total tell me if i am crazy :@) i have 36 months left to pay at £555 this = £19,980
minus 3years fees at £1200+vat = £4,000 approx
new total =£15,980
£1000 variation fee added =£16,980
all debts sold to eversheds etc so hopefully accept lower dividend not that i am trying to get out of paying as much back as possible but its all i can raise :/
so i think because all like there money quicker offer £12,000

is my head in the clouds?
comments much appreciated

Hey indebtforever, I think it's quite confusing, I've no idea.

I do remember Melanie advising you around £20,000 would be more appropriate in your previous post.

I'm sure Melanie or another expert will be able to help, hang on in there. Viki X

Do you know what, if that is all you can raise then offer it, see what happens. You will never know if you don't try. Have you approached your IP at all, have they given you any sort of figure. Good luck, I hope it works out. Viki X

Well, you can only try. Obviously your IP knows your case so they are the best at advising you. Please let us know how it goes and what the outcome is, and keep on posting. We're all here to support you. Viki X

There is always a deal to be done in my experience, but bear in mind that your IP does need to justify this to your creditors in order to do the offer justice.
