Hello All

I have not posted for a while but would like some advice.
My IVA was settled in June.
I have since luckly picked up some post from my old address and Capital one have passed my debt to credit solutions offering me a reduced amount as settlement but capital were in my IVA.
I have rung the debt collector who checked a register and said my name was not on there as settled.
Im a bit confused on what I need to do now my IVA is complete
I have forwarded the letters on to payplan.

You have done the right thing by telling Payplan. You have nothing to worry about and the reason you are not on the register is that your IVA has been discharged and your name removed.

Thank you.

I have not done anything since my IVA as in getting my credit reports and trying to build up my credit,as I never want credit again and I am happy to plod on living how have I have been during my IVA also Im still paying my dad back so money is still tight.
Should I be getting my credit report sorted is that why the collectors are now chasing me.

Once again thanks for the reply.

Your credit report would have nothing to do with creditors chasing you. It is more likely that their records are incomplete and when your debt was sold on the buyer was not advised that you were in an IVA. Regardless, six years after the defaults have been registered they will fall off and your credit file will be clear.

This is probably a case of one department not knowing what another is doing.

You can be safe in the knowledge that they can do nothing to you at all. You have your completion letter and that is all you need.

It may be an idea to check your credit records to see what it says on there about you and any defaults registered after the IVA was approved should be removed and you need to write to those creditors to tell them to do so.

When I was debt collecting one of the main ways we traced people was through Experian. We did a tracing credit check and it gave us a list of addresses going back 6 years with possible linked addresses.
