Before my IVA, I was in debt management but now I am debt free. Spent the weekend filing all the correspondence and noticed that on about five of my accounts I had PPI Insurance. On the advice of the Debt Management team I had contacted the various organisations/banks and cancelled the PPI but did not ask for a refund. Maybe If I had opted for a refund/interest prior to entering into my IVA, my debt would have been reduced substantially.
Nevertheless, while doing the filing, I also came across details of a loan that I had taken out in 2001 and paid off in 2006. Looking at the total amount that was repaid, I suspect that PPI was also included in the loan.
Please advise what are my options for reclaiming the PPI element plus interest bearing in mind that my F&F was recently accepted.
Thanks in advance for your comments/views which will be appreciaited.
